Introduction

This guide will go over the many different Currencies currently in the game. These Currencies are used for many purposes from buying items on the Broker and many vendors.


Currency Types

General Currency

Cash
Free Cap: $1,500. Premium Cap: $2,000. Legendary Cap: Unlimited

Cash is the Money Currency for the game. You get Cash from Missions, the Vault, and from completing On-Duty Instances. Cash is used for buying items on the Vendors and also Legendary Members can use it to Trade and on the Broker. The Cash does have a Cap for Free-to-Play (F2P) Players and Premium Players. F2P has a cap of $1,500 and Premium has a cap of $2,000. The Vendor Cash items are capped at the $2,000 Cash Price. Legendary Members (All Access Subscribers) do not have a Cap on their Cash.

For F2P and Premium Player’s Cash may be capped but the remainder Cash that goes over the Cap is placed in an Escrow Fund. To Access the Escrow Fund, players will have to buy an Escrow Token on the Marketplace that allows them to use all of their Cash for a limited amount of time. Legendary Members are unable to use the Escrow Tokens due to them not having a Cap on their Cash.

Daybreak Cash

Daybreak Cash (DB) is the currency utilized for microtransactions to buy the majority of items from Marketplace, excluding Episodes, Episode Bundles and Starter Packs, exclusive for PC Players. PC Legendary Members receive a stipend of 500 DB per subscribed month from Marketplace.

Marketplace Cash

Marketplace Cash (MC) is the currency utilized for microtransactions to buy the majority of items from Marketplace, excluding Episodes, Episode Bundles and Starter Packs, for PlayStation and Xbox One Console Players.

Loyalty Points
Shared by all characters on account

Loyalty Points work similarly to Daybreak/Marketplace Cash, but are exclusive to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One Console Legendary Players. that receive a stipend of 500 LP per subscribed month. LP can be spent on items in Skeets’ Legendary Emporium kiosks found in Police Departments or Nightclub Safe Houses.

Promethium Key
Shared by all characters on account

Promethium Keys are used to open Promethium Lockboxes for F2P and Premium Players, only attainable through Marketplace, whereas Legendary Players are unable to buy them due to Membership providing free unlocks to all Promethium Lockboxes, Keys not required.

Quarks
Shared by all characters on account

Quarks are gained by opening Time Capsules. You can also convert your Source Marks to Quarks at the Space and Time Vendor next to Booster Gold in the Watchtower and Hall of Doom. Quarks are used to purchase Special Items and Cosmetics on the Space and Time Vendor and previous Time Capsule items from Booster Gold.

Stabilizer Fragment
Cap: 14. Shared by all characters on account

Stabilizer Fragments are only attained by completing the Stabilizer Fragmentation Event. F2P get 3 a day, Premium get 4 a day, and Legendary get 6 a day. Once 15 are collected, they automatically convert to a full Stabilizer.

Stabilizer

Stabilizers can be used to open any Time Capsule in-game, which unlock exclusive styles/collections/artifacts/feats. 7 are also required to open the current format of Resurgence Time Capsules.

Replay Badges
Shared by all characters on account

Replay Badges (RB) are bought on the Marketplace or within special loot boxes like the Booster Bundle. Legendary Members receive a stipend of 150 Replay Badges automatically per subscribed month. Replay Badges are used to replay Content in the game from Open World Missions to On Duty Instances. You can also use Replay Badges to unlock Styles that you own on other characters on your Account and unlocking Feats you have completed on other characters on your Account.


Universal Currency

Source Mark
Cap: 999,999

Source Marks are the new Universal Currency introduced in Game Update 94. These serve the same purpose as Marks of Victory. These are just given a new name and new icon. Source Marks are used on many vendors in the game especially the Tier Gear Vendors. Source Marks still follow the rules of the CR Relevancy where if you’re CR is higher than the Content’s MAX CR, you will not gain these Marks. Marks of Victory, Ancient Coin, War Bond, Marked Bill, Ultrabuck and Altantean Crown were all coverted to Source Marks in Game Update 94 at a 1:1 ratio.


PVP Currency

Marks of Legend
Cap: 250

Marks of Legend are obtained by completing Legend PVP and Legend PVE content. This Currency is used to purchase more Legend Characters on the Legend Vendor located in the Meta Wing of the Watchtower and Hall of Doom.

Marks of Valor
Cap: 6,250

Marks of Valor are used to purchase PVP Gear. This currency is obtained by participating in PVP matches. You get Marks of Valor by winning or losing but you get more Marks if you win matches.


Episode Currency

With Game Update 94, Episodes 27-31 will no longer have their own Episode Specific Currency. They were changed to give out Source Marks as the Currency reward as long as you’re in the proper CR Relevancy.

Tribute (Death of Superman - Free Content)
Cap: 999

Tributes are used to purchase Styles, Base Items, and more. The Vendor is located in Doomsday Metropolis.

Titans Cred (Episode 32 - Teen Titans: Judas Contract)
Cap: 999

Titan Creds are the Currency for Episode 32. Its used on the Vendors on Titan’s island as well as the Episode’s Robot Vendor beside the portals located in the Watchtower and Hall of Doom. Soon converted to Source Marks with the release of Episode 35: Metal Part I.

Rath Crowns (Episode 33 - Atlantis)
Cap: 999

Rath Crown are the Currency for Episode 33. Its used on the Vendors in Atlantis as well as the Episode’s Robot Vendor beside the portals located in the Watchtower and Hall of Doom. Soon converted to Source Marks with the release of Episode 35: Metal Part II.

Daemohedrons (Episode 34 - Justice League Dark)
Cap: 999

Daemohedrons are the Currency for Episode 34. Its used on the Vendors in Chaos Gotham as well as the Episode’s Robot Vendor beside the portals located in the Watchtower and Hall of Doom.


Seasonal Currency

These Currencies are available in-game by either running Event content, replaying it or buying 50x from the Marketplace, only while the related Events are active and are used to purchase Seasonal styles/base items/collections.

Qwardian Crowns (Anti-Monitor Returns - Anniversary Event)
Cap: 250

This Currency is for the Anti-Monitor Returns Event that occurs during January. It usually starts around January 11th which is the Anniversary date of DC Universe Online’s Launch.

Hearts (Love Conquers All - Valentine’s Day)
Cap: 250

This Currency is for the Love Conquers All Event that occurs during February.

Lucky Clovers (Mister Mxyzptlk’s Mischief - St. Patrick’s Day)
Cap: 250

This Currency is for the Mister Mxyzptlk’s Mischief Event that occurs during March for a couple of weeks.

Seed Pod (Springtime - Spring Event)

This Currency is for the Springtime Event that occurs during April.

Sand Dollars (Tides of War - Summer Event)
Cap: 250

This Currency is for the Tides of War Event that occurs during July/August.

Spooky Bite (The Witching Hour - Halloween Event)
Cap: 250

This Currency is for the Witching Hour Event that occurs during October.

Holly Leaves (Season’s Greedings - Winter Event)
Cap: 250

This Currency is for the Season’s Greedings Event that occurs during December.


Special Events

Data Chip (Survival Mode)
Cap: 999,999

Survival Mode was relaunched in May 2019 and introduced new Vendors that use this new Currency, Data Chips. This Currency is used to purchase Survival Mode specific items from the past versions and the new version.
